The Mermaid's Eldest Sister, reprinted in Expanded Horizons

I'm delighted that Expanded Horizons (EH) has reprinted my story, The Mermaid's Eldest Sister. (It first came out in Enchanted Conversation last June.)

With this issue, EH has started illustrating the stories they publish with public domain art. Here's the picture they chose for my story. I think it's gorgeous.



The picture below is one I derived from a public domain photograph. (Yes Virginia, there are mermaids and you can photograph them...)
But I think it may be too literal. Anyway, EH chose the other picture, and I think it also captures the spirit of the story.
