The Ads at the Top
Jun. 25th, 2009 11:53 amMost people aren't that keen to have ads at the top of their LJ pages, but we recognize that without them, LJ would have to charge. So we tolerate them.
What I *love* about LJ is the feature that allows you to state your interests so they can tailor the ads. Now I often see ones I actually like having on my LJ - things like the really pretty one for the California Academy of Sciences. Of course, the Cal Academy is a pretty gorgeous place, too. Pricey, unless you're a member, but on Thursday nights they have a party there - and you can see many of the exhibits, too, including the Rain Forest (if you get there early).

Date: 2009-06-26 07:38 pm (UTC)Yea, I could pay, but eh.. there's enough free stuff out there that I don't have to. And I don't love lj enough to feel like supporting them in that manner.
* Oh, it also shows ads in more places if you're not logged in. So log in and you can avoid some of them.
